Suggested fabrics: cotton/LYCRA knit, rayon and rayon/LYCRA blends, silk/rayon velvet, wool gauze, slinky, and polar fleece for a coat!
The Swing Jacket pattern is sophisticated and easy to wear. Unlike most swing jackets, its fullness begins below the waistline so it does not overpower your figure. A natural shoulder line and just enough ease at the bust make this jacket a perfect fit. Inseam pockets and a self-faced shawl collar are this jackets’ claim to fame, and its 4 pattern pieces go together in a snap! Below-hip length swing jacket with side seam pockets and self-faced shawl collar. Great on all figure types. Pair with Pencil Skirt/Slit Skirt, Leggings, Perfect Pants…
Suggested design options: Perfect the way it is!
Take the A-Line
Marry quality stretch knit fabrics—a modern wardrobe staple—with clean silhouettes to capitalize on their stretch, recovery and drape. Try Christine Jonson Patterns #519 (sizes XS-XL), a shawl collar swing jacket, and #330 (sizes 4-22) a slim shirt with self-faced darted waistband and back slit. Her trademark Cotton/LYCRA creates a dramatic drape in the jacket and smooth fit in the body-hugging skirt, while her new Rayon/LYCRA blend adds a hint of shimmer to #917 (sizes XS-XL), a loose-fitting tee offering three hem and two sleeve lengths, plus a turtleneck option.
