Quick Stuff to Sew, Winter 2012
Christine Jonson Pattern e930: A-Line Dress

"Travel Frocks

This jewel-necked, pull-over dress is a classic. It is available as a downloadable e-pattern with length and sleeve options.
A sleeveless version can be made with just two pattern pieces. Pack it for a one-piece travel outfit, or toss on a cardigan and wear it to work. The neckline, armholes and hem are just turned under and topstitched.
The suggested fabrics have 100 percent stretch in both directions: knit fabrics with drape, such as wool, rayon, or cotton jerseys with Lycra.

STYLE TIP: The pattern designer says this look can work in woven fabrics, too. Just choose a woven with drape, and add a zipper or keyhole neckline opening at the center back.
