The Raglan Sleeve Dress is an easy to wear, everyday dress that offers comfort and a relaxed style. The front and back angular insets flatter the bustline and sit perfectly to draw attention to the neckline and face. The placement of the raglan seams offers an excellent upper body fit without being overpowering. This dress drapes softly off the hips, has hidden inseam well-placed pockets, and a deep hem for proper drape.

Suggested Fabrics: LYCRA blend Knits or Woven fabrics with at least 50% crosswise stretch. 4-way stretch fabrics with at least 50% stretch in both directions are great! Midweight and firm weight Jersey and Double-knit type fabrics, Ponte, Woven fabrics such as lightweight Twill, Gabardine, Velvet, Silk, poly blends, rayon blends with at least 5% LYCRA.
Color Blocking Insets offer creative expressions such as contrast textures/colors, prints, embroidery etc.
NOTE: This pattern can be sewn using both Woven and Knit (LYCRA Blend) fabrics. Check the Finished Garment Measurement chart before choosing a size to determine the amount of ease needed, especially for a woven fabric.
Two options are available for the neckline: A simple-to-sew Neck Band for stretch fabrics or a classic dressmaker Neck Binding that can be used with woven/non-stretch fabrics or stretch fabrics.
The Front and Back Insets allow for creative design expression such as color combinations, textures, prints, embroidery, and quilting.
